Jul 20, 2008 · In the last few years I've seen and built a lot of public IP DMZs. I only resorted to NAT when there were limited public IP addresses available. Today for the first time after years I was told I should build private range DMZ with NAT again like they were built years back when IPv4 addresses were expensive. Maybe I am outdated on that matter. Second Option - For a more secured DMZ setup, you can select the second option where you will be able to specify a range of IP Addresses that will only be allowed entry to the computer’s DMZ zone. IP Addresses that are not in the range will not be allowed to connect. Mar 29, 2001 · The two servers each have their own static IP addresses that are Internet IP addresses. My local LAN uses a Class C IP network with an address range of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254. extra configs: turn on a separate DMZ with different IP range, static IP for dmz (or assign ip range to give 1 ip out) etc. before setting access rule, DMZ IP can ping all ips on personal network and 8.8.8.8 (google) after settings: ping 8.8.8.8, dmz ip host, private lan IP (router only IP) and NOT my nas, other routers, etc.
Static PAT or Port Forward configuration between "outside" and "dmz" which provides the DMZ server 192.168.10.10 visibility to Internet using the "outside" interface public IP address. The only service forwarded to the "dmz" server is TCP/80/www

Also, do not start your range at “192.168.20.1” since that is the DMZ interface address and will act as the gateway IP address for devices on the DMZ network.

The firewall has a rule to allow the ipMonitor host to access the DMZ using any service. When a host matching the ip address 192.168.1.10 on the dmz1 segment establishes a connection sourced from TCP port 80 (WWW) and that connection goes out the outside interface, we want to translate that to be TCP port 80 (WWW) on the outside interface and translate that IP address to be 10.1.1.10.
